I had the misfortune to serve under Carter-the-coward (what I have called him fore 30 years) He is a waste of oxygen but at that time I still believe he was just a feckless girlie-man. I have doubted your veteran status and now it is even less believable that you ever served in the armed forces of the US. If you had you would not have made the assumption that my service was in some civilian role that I could just walk away from.
