“I have never used Twitter,” Pres. Obama confided Monday in response to a question at a Town Hall with college students in Shanghai. .
“My thumbs are too clumsy to type in things on the phone,” Obama explained after saying he has never used Twitter.
But Obama described himself as “a big believer in openness when it comes to the flow of information.”
He admits the free flow of information occasionally gets under his skin because he has “to listen to people criticizing me all the time.”.
Obama says internet criticism “makes our democracy stronger & makes me a better leader…forces me to hear opinions I don’t want to hear.”
But Obama says Internet become a powerful tool for citizen participation & is “one of the reasons that I won the presidency.”
Obama says he’s “a big supporter of not restricting Internet use, Internet access, other information technologies like Twitter.”

This is the line that gets me going:

If you’re so in to “openness”, why not allow your long form birth certificate to be “opened”?
How about “opening” your entrance records from Occidental, Columbia and Harvard?
Give us some “flow of information” concerning what passport you used when you traveled to Pockiston in 1981.
