Named after a half whitey fag

Two days before Barack Hussein Obama was elected president, Barack Obama Ndiaye was born to a couple in Hendersonville, Tenn.

“When the baby came, the nurse came over and handed me all this paperwork and say, ‘You have to fill this and put the baby’s name in this,’” said Barack’s father, Amadou Ndiaye, 43, a biomedical engineer who came to the United States from Senegal in 1994.

“I just signed the paperwork ‘Barack Obama Ndiaye’ and handed it back to the nurse. And she looked at the paperwork and said, ‘Are you kidding?’ I say, ‘No, I’m not kidding.’ That’s exactly what I say. I say ‘Barack Obama Ndiaye,’ and she just kind of like laughed and just walked away with the paperwork.”

The mother, Anna Ndiaye, 38, did not know in advance that her husband planned to name the baby after Mr. Obama.

But Mr. Ndiaye said it made great sense. “In my country, when you name someone your son, it is something very precious to you,” he said. “Barack is someone I love. And naming my boy after him — I mean, he is always around me.”

Barack has a brother, Elhadji, 7, and a sister, Bineta, 5. He walks and talks. “Go” was his first word. He hears his own name frequently, in one way or another.

“Everywhere he go: ‘Baby Barack, baby Barack Obama, baby Barack Obama,’” Mr. Ndiaye said. “It’s a part of history now. When he grow up and he starts going to school and when they say, ‘O.K., who is the 44th president of the United States?’ he can pick up the book — the history book — and understand why his name is Barack Obama.”
