The Unengaged President

Obama’s lack of interest in the world is evident in his handling of the oil spill and the Afghan War.

“What do General McChrystal and British Petroleum have in common? Aside from the fact that they’re both Democratic-party supporters.”

“But what do McChrystal’s and BP’s defenestration tell us about the president of the United States? Barack Obama is a thin-skinned man and, according to Britain’s Daily Telegraph, White House aides indicated that what angered the president most about the Rolling Stone piece was “a McChrystal aide saying that McChrystal had thought that Obama was not engaged when they first met last year.”

If finding Obama “not engaged” is now a firing offense, who among us is safe?”

  1. Frosteetoes

McChrystal had his chance to engage in a coup to overthrow an usurper to the US Constitution as they were sworn to do. The generals have an allegiance to the Constitution, not to the president. Only the soldiers have an allegiance to the president.

Frosteetoes – I agree with what you say. I would add, however, ALL soldiers have a legal and moral obligation to support the Constitution and secondly to have allegiance to a president that is a legal, natural born citizen. When that president is a usurper, all bets are off!

And if I was a soldier, and I knew that president was a usurper, there is NO ONE ON GOD’s GREEN EARTH that could force me to put my allegiance in him!

    Nuff Said!
